(stands for Do It Yourself) is to be released for the DS in North America on March 23, 2010! AND the WiiWare title, WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase, an addition to the DS title, is bound to hit the North American shelves on the first quarter of 2010! Talk about the best way to start the new year, right? Begin 2010 by having fun with the greatest video game character: Wario, that is me! BAHAHAHAHA!

Yup, that's the quick drill, just so you won't say I'm not catching the news: New Super Mario Bros. Wii has been released in Japan, and DS's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games hit the South Korean shelves, both of them 2 days ago.
Well, not much to say now, so, B-ye!

Yay! Not only was New Super Mario Bros. Wii released on all regions (except Japan), but also we get to have 3 more news, 2 of them being about new VC titles! It's a blast to the past! Woo-hoo! Here's the news:

1: Super Nintendo's Super Mario Kart finally released on the USA today! Get ready to race in the original that started it all! Too bad it can't use the Wii Wheel, though, because it's a re-released game. If it was new, then it'd probably use the Wheel!

2: Get ready to duke it out from the beggining of the Super Smash Bros. series, because Nintendo 64's Super Smash Bros. is to be released on the USA before 2009 ends! Now it's back to the fighting basics! IT'S GO TIME!

3: Now for a Nintendo promotion: this year's "Black Friday" (Nov. 27), Nintendo's selling new Nintendo DSi models that are preinstalled with a total of 5 Mario games! What are you waiting for? Go and get some! 'Cause I'm not sure if this promotion is available here in Brazil...

Ugh, this computer's been really weird lately! It keeps crashing and resetting! Due to this, I haven't been posting lately! But I guess I can work this over. Let's get to the Mario news you're waiting for:

1: Nintendo of Japan has confirmed the Nintendo DSi XL (LL in Japan), a new model for the DSi, with increased size for those having trouble seeing anything on the screen and so. Still no release dates for foreign regions, except for the vague 2010. Lame!

2: Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Wii was released for our Japanese friends out there 8 days ago. I'm kinda late there, huh?

3: Nintendo and Capcom have announced a new, Japan-only Mario Party game for the arcade machines: Mario Party Fushigi no Korokoro Catcher. Let the party begin for our nipponic buddies!

4: And finally, what you Australians were wanting: New Super Mario Bros. Wii released yesterday for you guys to enjoy! Coming to the USA on Nov. 15, to Europe on Nov. 20, and to Japan on Dec. 3!
EDIT (Nov. 17, 2009): Now NSMBWii has been released for the USA, 2 days ago! Let's do this!
And now the computer is fixed! Would you believe that one of the cables melted? What an oddball malfunction!

For Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story had the releasing in Australia 2 days ago! Now they get to play it like a hardcore gamer who is stopping at nothing to have the 100% completion!

Well, today I've created my Twitter acount (search for MrBrMario), and check out this recent tweet from Charles Martinet (the voice actor of Mario in the games):

"Awesome new Mario Game! And it's not NSMB Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!"

So there's even another Mario game coming... And it can't be Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games either, since it was released prior to this tweet! Hmm, how secretive... So, what could it be? Make your bets! I hope it's another Luigi game, like a Paper Luigi (there are a few videos about the possibility on YouTube)!

Yes, even Mario news can sometimes be sad, and this one is probably the saddest one so far... Captain Lou Albano (full name Louis Vincent Albano, born in July 29, 1933), the actor who portrayed Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, has passed away today. He was 76 before dying. It is a pity to know that the man behind Mario (in the live-action segments of TSMBSS) has left us. I sure hope someone will be able to fill the void that Lou has left. Yet, if Lou Albano had to leave, it must have a good reason. Rest in peace, paisano. We'll never forget you...

1: Both versions of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games were released in North America yesterday. There's also a demo of the DS version available for download on the Nintendo Channel in Europe for all the Europeans out there who wanna give it a try.
EDIT (Oct. 17, 2009): This game was launched yesterday in Europe, and the day before yesterday in Australia.

2: There is a new competition going on in Mario Kart Wii. The player must go through 8 gates in order. It is set in Daisy Circuit, and will be running through Oct. 15 - 25.

Well Europeans, looks like you have it now too! Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is out now in Europe! Released yesterday, it sure is a must play! Go buy it now!
...And it seems like no one has managed to develop a patch for the DSTT! Man, will I really have to buy it? Sure, that would increase my number of original cartridges to 2 (first one was New Super Mario Bros.), but man! This is out of my money!

1: "Nintendo announces to reduce the price of the Wii in United States (now $199), Japan (now ¥20,000) and Great Britain (£179.99) during the Tokyo Game Show 2009. While the MSRP has not been dropped on mainland Europe, retailers can now buy the Wii for a lower price and might lower their prices as well."

1: There's a new Mario Kart Wii competition going on, so, to all MKWii players, do your best!
The competition simply consists of defeating a giant Pokey in Thwomp Desert, using Bob-ombs. It's the exact same as the October 2008 Competition 1, though, which is pretty lame... Although, may I say, it's the first time this happens, so hopefully, they won't do it too often...
2: Sega has launched 2 new trailers for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, each one for a version of the game. Here are the links for the trailers:
